HIPAA Position Statement

RI Unlimited is committed to enforcing patient privacy and security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), not only because it is the law, but also because we believe in a patient's right to be the sole owner of their personal health information (PHI).

RI uses the following practices to ensure that your patient's information is secure:

1.   This website is secured with 128-bit encryption (SSL). This prevents the unauthorized access of the information during transmission.

2.   RI uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect any personally identifiable data stored on its computers. Only authorized personnel have access to sensitive data.

3.   RI provides each Onlivia client with methods to track usage of the system, including log-in records and note access. A copy of any note that has been added, viewed, edited, or esigned, is kept in an Audit Log so that user modifications are documented throughout the system. Should you wish further information regarding these logs, please contact your company's Onlivia Administrator.

RI Unlimited is always looking to offer expanded features and functions that make our services more efficient and accessible for their clients. As additional features and functions are added, this HIPAA statement will be updated to correctly represent how information and features are being used. Please check this statement periodically as it is subject to change at any time.
